why? why? why is there no answers?

my legs are SO STIFF. I have had almost every test under the sun and there is no answers. I cant lift my legs to get up stairs, or to ride a bike. I cant walk without a walker or a trolley. I cant take anti inflmaitries as im on anticogulant, I have tried hot bottles, magnesium, soaking but nothing helps. my muscles feel like they are so tight and need to relax. I have been doing stretches, but they dont help either. its affecting the quality of my life, I cant stand for long,hang clothes on the line, cook, or do anything I want to do. I live alone and have to rest a lot. I get exhausted showering,and doing anything that requires lifting or reaching. I have been to Doctors, numerologist, and many other places and still no answers. I cant have magnetic treatment due to mechanical heart valves. All this started in 2005 and seems to be getting worse. I sometimes have to sit to vacumm and have to be careful I dont trip over things. I cant use creams or lotions or rubs. I have had numerous blood tests, ultrasounds,xrays and all that they found was osteo in my hips but have said this has nothing to do with my stiff legs. Does anyone have any other suggestions please?

What is essential for my own affordable home studio?

I'm planning on buying an 8-track recorder for about $400, something like this: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Fostex-MR16HD-16Track-Digital-Recorder?sku=701051

and I have a really good quality mic. Aside from audio editing software to mix and produce the tracks, what else do I need? I read up on DAWs, but I don't have thousands of dollars to spend; I'm seventeen and only work part time. I've recorded for the past couple of years with a really crappy microphone that goes into my computer mic jack and just did amateur editing in Audacity. What is crucial in making the difference between these bad sounding recordings, and the kind of recordings produced in professional studios (besides the significant expense of course)? I play the piano, guitar and sing. I have a fairly nice electric piano that can be connected to record to an 8-track recorder, or I can transfer recorded files from the piano to my computer via USB.

If I have an 8-track, mic (with windscreen & other mic accessories), and audio editing software, is there anything else that is essential to producing CD-quality recordings?
